I'm sure I remember seeing episodes of Strike It Rich whereby there was a barricade at the bottom of the steps where the audience was. I don't think I've ever seen that on any other show.

I imagine the fire officer wouldn't be that keen

I'm sure I've seen the audience fenced in plenty of times, usually shows recorded at TLS so I'm wondering if it's just something the seating has.

I didn't realise the invaders were audience members, I thought they had descended on the studio from outside.

I've been to recordings at TLS and I've never been 'fenced in'. In fact a couple of shows, I could have got up and walked into the set, the seating has been that close to the front of the stage.

Wonder if with shows live/recorded in TLS1 with the upper section of the seating, there is a balcony (which separates the permanent seating, to the retractable lower section) and you think that is some form of anti stage surge barrier.

You can see this during the opening pan of each show, and also in two episodes:

The Just Tyres bloke, skip to 4:55:

Then there was another one with Barrymore pulling a 17 year old out of the audience as a toyboy for a lady contestant (he climbs over the fence/barricade but I seem to remember it was white, whereas in the above clip it's clearly black - it may be a different series though) but I can't find this at the moment.

It's clear in that video that the last few rows of seating aren't there, presumably as the massive set needed more room.

The railings required to stop the front row falling 6 feet to the ground. When you watch stuff like Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway the front row have their feet on the floor.

I remember on Lily Savage's Lily Live she used to point to the fact that the audience members were locked behind a barrier ("for good reason!").

Wouldn't have had you down as a fan of a TV drag act.

This Weeks Panel :
Monday : Kaye, Nadia, Nadiya, Saira
Tuesday : Ruth, Coleen, TBA, Jane
Wednesday : Coleen, Linda, Katie, Janet
Thursday : Ruth, Linda, Penny, Janet
Friday : Kaye, Nadia, June, TBA

Interesting that Kaye is anchoring, looks like a decision hasn't been made who is to appear on Tuesday and Friday, Ayda field will probably not be on after last time, but it's her turn to present this week, no Gloria or Sherrie either, but June is back. Friday's show will probably focused on the referendum

What happened last time with Ayda Field? I really liked what I've seen of her appearances. Also where's Andrea? Is she getting holiday in before working through the summer?
