Managed to catch it on ITV player, music is awful. Set feels very American and the desk looks tiny.
It's lost the theme tune, which was recognisable to something that sounds like an ad for a glossy trash magazine.
Not keen as Ruth being the main presenter, Gloria was fine.
The logo is much better than the previous, but that's about it.
ITV seem to be taking a lot of influence from America, the GMB set is very American but I actually like it. The first thing I thought when I say Loose Women was "America, the view", the theme tune is nothing compared to the last, the logo is much better and I think the package will be great. The set, apart from the desk, is much preferable than the last, if it had been a bit bigger in all senses it would have been better but it is such a refresh from what we have seen.
As far as the desk goes, Ruth and Janet may as well be sitting with the audience as they are literally at the very end of the table.
The whole "Today, next, then, and etc" and then headline with the voiceover actually reminded me of GMB.

IF ITV were talking alot of Influence of the USA there would make LW have a harder edge to it. The view deals with alot more Hard hitting issues, and not just the days news.
The desk is FAR to small, and I still nailing my views to the sail, its needs moving to 1pm. Its FAR to close to This morning.
The problem with ITV Daytime is its needs mixed up. LIVE show, live show, Auction, cook, games show gameshow. its needs mixing ups.
Sorry to disagree but that set doenst look American at all. Looks like some shipping pallets that they used to construct the walls. Here is the current View set. The back wall are big screens which usually have a NYC skyline. I think the LW set wouldnt look so small had they did something similar it, would have felt more spacious with screens or virtual windows. I also kinda wished they would have picked some nice studio chairs. They really look bad. (Eek!). I know show programs..like Wendy Williams covers their folding chairs with blue slip covers so it doesnt looks so....inexpensive.
Probably always going to be comparisons to the View as it was on air a few years before LW started.
But this set is going bye bye as the View will debut a new in-the-round set. The has modified their logo for the first time to this.

Here is the leaked image of the new set. Its supposed to feature a social media area....what ever that means. (ugh). The question is if the new set will feature the signature curved desk the show's had in various forms since the beginning.

They've clearly got their inspiration from the view, the opening is very similar, with the voice over/ pannelists walking to the desk, the desk is similar too. It's all quite similar.
