That's a terrible logo and trailer. This is last chance I feel for Loose Women which seems to revamp every year.

That's not quite accurate now, is it Wink
coughs *8 months*......
The last 'look' lasted two years, which i thought was one of the worst sets/graphics and titles.
The new look that was introduced in January made everything more subtle, the set looked much nicer as did the graphics.
Although, to me it seems it was a stop gap to move away from the 'trashy gossip' esque set.
I can't imagine the January refresh would have cost much, if they are just willing to fling it in the skip Laughing
EDIT: seems that they've dropped Myleene Klass, Sally Lindsay and Shobna Gulati.

I just don't get how this show keeps surviving - it's been really struggling in the ratings over the last couple of years and it's ever changing look and line up doesn't suggest any confidence within the show from those that make it themselves. I'd have thought axing it was a no-brainer, even if it was replaced with something remarkably similar but built around a single host instead.

Relatively cheap to make, still a well known brand and therefore attracting fairly decent guests. But agreed, surely it can't go on for much longer without a spike in ratings.

As the majority seem to say on their Facebook page, I agree the mistake was losing the likes of Carol Mcgiffin, Denise Welch etc because those sort of personalities is what made the brand so strong. With each revamp the brand is getting weaker and weaker, with the personalities to reflect this.

Also, 'something similar but based around a single host' sounds exactly like The Wright Stuff.

From the new ad it seems they've got new theme music, might be totally wrong but it sounds like it.
Also, they've uploaded pictures of the set being built to their facebook page. Dark wood and 'windows'..

What a ridiculous idea. Why replace it with something "remarkably similar"?! That wouldn't make much difference would it - they just need to improve what is there. Why would you have a similar show with a single host - what's the point of hearing only one person's opinion on the days topics?!

The show is still one of the most popular shows in the daytime schedule (even if ratings have dropped in the last couple of years, it still rates higher than everything other than This Morning), axing it and putting something else on would probably give ITV less viewers and it would kick up a right media storm.

There is a picture on here a few pages back of a very old set (one of the originals) with windows. I wondered if they would return to that sort of look as that is when the show was first created and Helen Warner worked on it originally.

Didn't they use the first Daybreak studio in the beginning?

Looks like they've got a sofa instead of a desk, could only be one part of the set though..

On the top row images two and three from the right look like the old blue set with white shelves.

Yeah, the first one looks like the Joan Rivers interview. I don't know what the second one is though.

Probably because when that happens usually what happens is that the replacement rates even lower and you end up in a downward spiral, like another part if the daytime schedule on ITV
