Presumably someone thought the recent changes at ITV Breakfast left a sofa/desk in-balance across ITV's daytime line up.

Just caught yesterdays Keith Duffy interview on the new sofa, and thought it looked absolutely awful, the set needs to be designed with the sofa area and desk area in mind, it can't just be chucked in- IT LOOKED SO BAD! Thought it appeared like they hadn't even conducted any screen tests. Also the split in the sofa where its made up of two pieces looked scruffy. Poor execution of something that in the Long term could be well implemented.

On The View they have a desk that can be moved easily and they swap it with a sofa during the commercial break when they have an interview segment.

I never said that wouldn't be an effective alternative, but what they did was Awful- looked silly. But that desk would probably be too difficult to move in an ad, and Im not sure what the wall behind the desk would look like with a sofa. I just think they need to design the studio to facilitate a sofa, not just chuck it in some empty space.

No sofa today but the guest, Lily Allen, still came from within the audience. Very clunky and awkward.

The camera angles today have been interesting - a few very wobbly shots and a few different ones to usual.

The wobbly shots have appeared a lot recently, not a fan! Just caught the end on +1 and I don't think Myleene Klass could get that ear piece out quicker! Liked the continuation of the camera without sound, and convocation- makes the show feel less fake!

Or is Cilla a 'guest' presenter, rather than just a guest?

Oh my lord how over the top was that. A red carpet entrance , most of the show dedicated to her , her music being played as break stings , it really has been just too much Cilla , Cilla , Cilla. ITV had their tribute show for her last year was that not enough?

There is also a 4 part drama on her life coming to ITV later this year starring Sheridan Smith. I'm not joking
