I've noticed the dates only go up to August 9th for this very reason-But surely going by the dates, they don't have enough for 15 pre-recorded i.e 3 weeks worth of shows unless they are taking part of August off.
After the Kim Woodburn fiasco, it's likely they decided it was safer to have two weeks of prerecorded episodes for August.
I'd imagine it's so the panel can have two weeks of the summer to be with their families, so they can come back live and refreshed for the start of September's new season. That's probably what I imagine.
Not watched the show in a long time but just randomly came across the Trump debate clip from Fridays show on YT.
I was actually pleasantly surprised. I hope these more political debates will stick around. Certainly keep the show light as a whole, but I don't think introducing a more serious/political topic at the top of the show would be a bad thing. Panel seemed smart, defended their points well, while I disagreed with Carol it was good to have some opposing views instead of everyone agreeing or just playing devils advocate. If they could balance the panels to include an opposing view for each debate it could be very interesting. Certainly some scope for some fiery debate if the producers wanted to.
I wonder if the producers have been looking at The View's recent success. I recall producers from Loose Women being in the audience of The View fairly recently. Viewing figures are at a four year high and being called the most important political TV show in America, with the show regularly getting high profile guests (presidential candidates) and making headlines. The show has some great fiery debate, but then does lighter topics, then interviews. A similar format could seemingly easily work if this recent debate is anything to go by. Carol was definitely giving me some Meghan McCain vibes.
Carol, Jane Moore and Kaye Adams can all field very strong and robust political arguments when it comes to these types of debate, as can JSP, of course.
Any member of the above noted appearing on the panel will always bring a different dimension to the show.
Katie Price announced her 5th (?) engagement on the show today. According to the anchor (Coleen Nolan) they had no idea that Katie was going to make the announcement on the LIVE show today.

So glad people are caring less and less about this massive waste of space. Loose Women seems to be the only show that'll have her on nowadays, and frankly it's the sort of guest they need to be ditching.
