Why is it still on air? where it Summer break?

They haven't taken a summer break for quite a few years now.

That's a shame. I miss cooking with gino and Mel.

Although Gino and Mel finished 2 years before Loose Women went all year round. I can't for the life of me remember what replaced it so it was obviously good.

One year was 'Guess This House' with Saira Khan, and the other might have been the James O'Brien show?

Wasn't there some sort of cooking programme that was heavily sponsored by a supermarket and came from the Olympic park?

Eat the week with Iceland?
Was presented by Simon Rimmer, but on Channel 4

If I was to guess, it's likely more cost effective to keep shows like Loose Women or This Morning running all year around rather than taking extended breaks.

Clearly this includes Bank Holidays as they are on as normal next Monday! How on earth can it be costly take to the shows off air for one day!

That might be prerecorded edition - don't think they have been live on a bank holiday before.

I do find it odd they keep it on air the days the slot is cut to half an hour due to the racing coverage beginning at 1.30pm, though nowadays there isn't much in the way of 30 minute shows that could fill the slot.

Even so I'd have thought budget wise it would be better to take time from This Morning - at least split the difference and run LW from 12.15pm on the days it ends at 1pm. TBH I'm amazed they don't just cut the lunchtime news on those days considering they do in the evening when live sport affects the scheduling.

Anyone's who saw this morning's show will have seen the car crash interview (It wasn't an interview it was just a Jeremy Kyle shouting showdown) with Kim Woodburn which wasn't helped with Coleen being there.
