Its a shame they never kept with a journalist as the main anchor throughout the Andrea/Jackie years, it might have added a bit of gravitas to the show. I guess its sort of back how it used to be with Kate, but she isn't really a respected journalist! 
IIRC that clip was when Kaye was off maternity leave and they were unsure if she was returning or not- so there were about 4 or 5 rotating anchors before settling for Andrea and Jackie.

Carol Malone - she's a newspaper columnist for the Mirror I think. She does a lot on the Alan Titchmarsh Show too.,

Where has Jane been? She hasn't been on for a while. The positive side to that being at least they're able to mix the panel up a bit each day. During From about 2007 until the start of the new series it seemed to be Andrea/Jackie with Coleen, Carol and Jane almost every day.
I also think its been good to see Ruth back, I hope they keep her when Kate returns whether having 3 main anchors, using her as a guest host or just as a recurring panelist.

I suspect Jane is on tour at the moment, or perhaps doing one her cruises? I know Ed was due back home last time she was on, so I bet they're probably having a holiday and some pies together.
Although I couldn't stand Kaye Adams as a person, she was a good anchor, especially on the serious topics... not so good on the light-hearted stuff though. I think Kate Thornton gets the balance right, and I didn't mind Jacki Brambles (shoot me now )

Apparently Claire Sweeney will return to the LW panel for a couple of stints whilst some of the regulars (Jane and Kate) are away. Claire will appear later today, in fact.
