Yeah that sounds right, I think Paul O'Grady was still at ITV then wasn't he-- so they trialled Loose @5:30 over the summer when he wasn't on? As it happens Carol McGiffin mentioned it the other day on LW, and said that having men as panelists "didn't work" (it was in reference to Jeremy Clarkson's comments about not having a female presenter on Top Gear).

Paul moved to Channel 4 in early 2006 so he must have been gone about 6 months by that time.

Is she leaving, or already left in fact? I note that Denise Welch was presenting the other day and that woman (sorry, don't know her name) from This Morning is now also a presenter.

Gotta love Jane MacDonald and her pies!! LOL.

No, I happened to catch her last episode (I think it was last week) and she said she's just taking a break to work on another project for a while. But, she said she will definitely be back.

From what I've seen, she seems excellent, James. She's certainly better than Jackie Brambles, who she replaced.

Kate is really good, she adds a bit of weight to the more serious topics, something Jackie and Andrea can't really do, and then she can flip around and pull off the fluffy topics easily. Shes also good at continuing the debates by giving the panelists the counter argument, Andrea doesn't really do that.

She's on a break at the minute filming another ITV project. I can't remember what it was she said though. I'm guessing Andrea will do more shows whilst Denise and occasionally Ruth or Kate Garraway will fill in which has been the common occurrence in this series.

She is, along side Gethin Jones. Loose Women's Lesley Garret is taking part apparently
