It definitely started as Loose Women, I can remember it launching and I remember it changing its name to Live Talk. (I suppose as suggested because the LW name maybe was thought to be a bit....)
The first 'Live Talk' set is the previous Loose Women one, just re-painted.
I can't think of anything before it other than the 'House Party' Revival by Meridian which didn't last long.
I know it was originally called 'Live Talk' but I'm sure it had another name before it became Loose Women, anyone know?
Loose Lunch? also Loose @ 5:30 was around for a bit wasn't it?
Loose @5:30 lasted a couple of series, on during the summer holidays I remember correctly? The twist was that some of the panellists were male: Typically the line-up was Kay Adams, Carol McGiffin, Jason Gardener and Ted Robbins. It bombed in the ratings if I recall, hence its relatively short lifespan!

Im sure this good moved to 9.25am Once, and also had a stint at 5pm
It was on in the mornings at one point, I seem to think 10am not 9.25. Trisha was moved to the afternoons for a bit. I think that may have been over a summer and didn't last too long.
Before Loose Women at one point there was a programme that saddled *ahem* Vanessa called Afternoon Live, perhaps what the Inspector was thinking of?

Afternoon Live was on at some point between 2001 and 2005 (I can't pin down a date) so didn't come before Loose Women. But you're right about the old time- originally it was the summer replacement for This Morning, on at 11.30am at some points. Then I think it was commissioned in series' and didn't become a daily fixture until around 2005ish. Again I can't pin down a date but that's what I seem to remember.

The Afternoon Live I'm talking about was presented by Irish presenter Bibi Baskin in the mid-90s and was produced by Anglia TV if I remember rightly.
Loose Women became Live Talk when the show moved to Manchester in 2000, it reverted back to Loose Women in 2003.
According to Wikipedia, yes... but I'm pretty sure that's not correct, the 'Loose Women' name can much later (it's a bit too risque a name for a brand new programme)

Ah yes, it was just the mention of Vanessa Feltz. Her early noughties ITV show was 'Vanessa's Real Lives', it was a struggle to remember the name
