it sems weird that the titles are still blue, but the studio isn't!!! They should make them match, then that would really look gothic!!

the titles are now red.

Carole Malone and Ruth Langsford were other people who have also presented the show, although once dropped from the presenting team were dropped from the show altogether.

Ah yes, that's right-- thanks for the reminder-- forgot about them. Carole Malone was also a panelist on-and-off too; as you say, she was dropped from the show altogether along with Ruth Langsford (although the latter concentrated on This Morning thereafter).

Mel Sykes and Fiona Phillips filled in for Andrea/Jackie during the last series.

I know it was originally called 'Live Talk' but I'm sure it had another name before it became Loose Women, anyone know?

Loose Women became Live Talk when the show moved to Manchester in 2000, it reverted back to Loose Women in 2003.

There was that ill-fated spin-off called Loose @ 5.30 in 2006 when the panel featured men and women.

According to Wikipedia, yes... but I'm pretty sure that's not correct, the 'Loose Women' name can much later (it's a bit too risque a name for a brand new programme)

If you search http://www.rexfeatures.com for *ITV Loose Women, it shows the first Loose Women set (at Anglia TV) in 1999.

It was definitely called Loose Women at first, they changed the name to Live Talk but when they changed it back to Loose Women they made a big deal of saying after X number of years we're back, as if the show had been away from the screen.
