New set is nice and I like the remixed theme tune. Not too sure about the titles just yet but they are completely different to what they usually have. My only worry about the set is it looks a lot like last years Big Brother living room which became tired quite quickly.

I've noticed that former BB Exec Sharon Powers is now an Exec Producer on LW. Maybe she's had an influence?

Although the changes make the program look nice (eg. new set, logo, titles, music etc.) I fear they still haven't done enough to bring back Loose Women's heyday and cement it as unmissable staple of ITV's daytime schedule. The presenting line up needs another complete overhaul if the show is going to succeed imo.

I've yet to watch the re-vamped LW-- what is like in terms of content? Is there more serious debate now?

It's exactly the same, but with Carol Vorderman and new titles/studio set.

Despite the new look, and I know it's only early days, but the show looks REALLY tired. Almost exhausted, in fact. I am willing to state now that this will be the last season of Loose Women. It's just same old, same old.

Four faces that I believe could genuinely revive the show: Dawn French, Miranda Hart, Jackie Brambles and - of course - Jane McDonald.

I know that suggesting the return of old faces Jackie and Jane is someone contradictory to my same old same old comment, but they at least were excellent and constantly refreshing on the show.

I have to say, one month on, I quite like the new show now. It has become a heck of a lot livelier and funnier in my opinion. Although, I can only watch snippets on Youtube, as opposed to a full length edition with titles, etc.

Two things I have noticed specifically in the last two weeks:

* the talkback in the presenters earpieces is really quite loud. You can quite often hear the muffled sounds of the producer or whomever telling them what to do. It's quite annoying.

* Sally Lindsay appears to the new Jane. A straightforward Northern lass. What you see is what you get. Funny without being a luvvie, if you know what I mean. And, very evident from yesterdays edition: Sherrie Hewson and JSP hate each other. Sherrie was way over the top in her criticism of almost everything JSP said.

Hope they can keep up the current quality, and not let it slide back into the depths.

I wonder who the stand-in presenter will be, when Carol Vorderman and Andrea McLean are away? Maybe more of Kate Garraway or Ruth Langsford? Or Denise Welch?

I guess Janet Street Porter also has anchoring ability?

Hurrah!! Jane McDonald is rejoining the programme. She will be back on from January 2012. Thank Goodness.

I do recall she did say it was only a sabbatical when she left; she wanted to tour Australia with Ed, amongst other things.

Oh thanks the lord for that, the only thing that is makes me sort of watch these days is Sally Lindsay. Think she's definitely worth keeping for a while.

Denise. Denise.

I can't help but thinking she really should NOT have gone into CBB.

No. She's still in CBB house, but having a bit of a crisis, according to some of the press reports.
