I'm hoping that this won't happen, but I have a feeling that Harry might retire from Look North. I've had the feeling for a few months, and it's not going away. I don't want it to happen as he's a very good presenter, but that is my gut feeling at the moment.

I was thinking, by default, Calendar is now the most watched single regional programme in Yorks & Lincs, as the BBC's ratings are split in two!

I'd be interested in the split, which version of Look North is more popular, and where Calendar gain most of their viewers, I bet Calendar actually does quite well in the East, what with the 'Calendar East' service being much more established that the Look North service

Calendar did that very annoying 'not showing who's presenting the regional opt outs' graphic today, someone late in at 3.15pm then!

I had a slight feeling Clare Frisby may have presented the main Look North today, but she isn't! Wink

I don't think Clare will ever present the main Look North again unless it was a dire emergency (Christa on holiday and Cathy sick), purely for political reasons at BBC North.

It's a shame, I look forward to the day that it *may* happen...

Maybe Look North (Leeds) will go single-headed à la LDN and LN Newcastle:

Look North with Christa Ackroyd standing, perching herself on the desk and sitting on the sofa or behind the desk.

Won't happen - Ian White will probably become the main male presenter alongside Christa. And by the time that happens, I hope I'll be well on the way to being Christa's stand-in, if my job route leads to Woodhouse Lane, but to be honest, the idea of me deputising for Helen might be even better!!

Well Peter Levy might return to Leeds, what with these new budget airlines which are to start flying from LeedsBradford soon!

Talking about Clare and the teatime one, if Christa and Cathy were both unavailable, we might end up with Harry Gration and Charlotte Doney rather than Harry and Clare!

Is this your career ambition, Kat? To be on LN Yorks & Lincs? If you do go on LN Leeds/Hull, I won't be able to see it here in York. Pity. I'd really like to see you as news presenter. Perhaps you could go and work at BBC Newcastle.

Yes - I want to work in BBC regional broadcasting. Ideally as Runner or Broadcast Assistant. I would quite enjoy being a newsreader as well, but I'd feel better in a 'backstage' role. As far as BBC Newcastle goes, I'm sure it's a nice place, but I have a sort-of pecking order. It goes:

BBC Leeds/Hull (either suits me!) - BBC Look North
BBC Birmingham - BBC Midlands Today
BBC Southampton - BBC South Today
BBC Nottingham - BBC East Midlands Today
BBC Cambridge/Norwich - BBC Look East.
