After looking at all the messages in this thread, it seems there is a huge dislike of Look North's Hull opt-out. If you look at
www.bbc.co.uk/humber you'll find that the BBC is having a new studio centre built in Hull City Centre and the plan is to make the area covered by Belmont a seperate region from the area covered by Emley Moor.
Personally I think this is a good idea because the west of the Look North region is mainly industrial (Leeds, Bradford, Sheffield etc) whereas the east of the LN Leeds region is mainly agricultural. E. Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Norfolk are predominently rural areas and most people who live there don't care about what happens in Leeds and Sheffield.
It would be really stupid if the BBC called the new programme from Hull "Look North"! There are already two editions of Look North (Leeds and Newcastle). So what should the new programme be called? Have you got any ideas?
I'd call it Look East because the programme will cover the coastline of East Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and North Norfolk. Plus the latter two counties aren't really Northern counties. I know Lincolnshire is officially in the East Midlands but Lincs can't be a Midland county in my opinion. It has a coastline!!!!!
