Yes you are both causing unwarranted distress to me, please refrain. Dr. Square Eyes prescribes 12 hours in a locked room with only Wellbeing to watch on the TV. Perhaps that will make you feel more mellow, especially CheshireC.

Whats going on here? This doesn't seem to be remotely related to Look North or Calendar
You've ruined a perfectly good thread, which I hoped to continue long term to include all the latest from the heart of my region

Wellbeing isn't on enough hours of the day to make me mellow.
And Rob. Jim's clips are aimed at Corporate LAN, i.e. 150 kbps.
Is that good enough for you?
As for problems, I really don't understand why people always apologise for arguements, as if it is going to cause someone to jump off a bridge!?

Hmm, only 12 hours since I am next fully awake.
Oh well.

Oh you poor love.
Do you want to join me in my Wellbeing Rehab Centre?

Erm.... please sir? I think that the TV World clips were at 45 kbps last time I downloaded any (although that was a long time ago) and I don't think the links are working at the moment anyway.

Most of the stuff is!

Jim Edwards has only just made the switch to Real Player 8.5 clips and all new clips are encoded in this format. He is doing a few old ones again but it will take AGES to do the whole lot and probably never get round to it!

BTW, I'M NOT SHOUTING!!! Very Happy

If you email him he will do special requests.
So you could email him for the Spotlight CI ones and he would convert them at the next update.
I think he is having technical problems at the moment.

I think the site might be suffering the same problem as TV Home - its files were hosted on NBCi but the HTML wasn't.

Hey! That's weird! Ctrl-R right aligns in this box! I was trying to refresh the typing page!

EDIT: Doesn't seem to make any difference in the display though....

nothing so grand on look north -  our bongs are on tape - which we then cut the pictures too

Ah - so LN headlines are edited together in a suite?

I think LEs are still recorded as-live through the gallery - they certainly were when I used to work in the region... That was in the days of the flying glass discs, and the flying glass blocks before them... (Actually thinking about it - the flying blocks needed both - the presenter voice and music and background graphics were recorded as-live through the gallery. The moving VT was then DVE-ed in over this recording to appear on the flying blocks)

Nationals do their headlines live - and only occasionally change the timing of the crashes. This is normally to accommodate up-sound (e.g. short clips of a politician speaking) which will often need to last more than 5'.

Always been on tape here - certainly long before the recent rebrand. The belt and braces approach!
When the subopt comes along the heads will be opted, so both will remain on tape

Anyone remember her?
YTv sent me a very old tape, I sent some of it off to TV Ark tonight, including a never used Meridian ident... pictures of which can be found at www.davistom.btinternet.co.uk/meridian.html

That image was from 1978, needless to say I was not around to see it, but anyone have a clue who she is?

This is the ident from the same show :

BTW: the Meridian ident was never used on screen it is in the same style as the 1996 ones but it has a different colour scheme. The ident is here:

(I am uploading this now so it may not appear straight away)
