ITN take it in turns with the BBC to produce the Queen's speech.
Merry Christmas.

Do ITV and the BBC play out their own copies of the Queen's message or does one take a feed from the other?

Very true. Is the message broadcast in full to other countries in the Commonwealth, or is it a privilege only to us here in the United Kingdom.

I wish the news channels wouldn't refer to it as the "Queen's Speech". That's what she delivers at the state opening of Parliament.
This is her Christmas message - or broadcast - to the Commonwealth.

No, I believe BBC always did it until (IIRC) the "Diana Panorama interview" (or some such other embarassing event, and after that it alternated between BBC & ITN. (Talk about sour grapes!
)
Whether it is her speech to Parliament or at Xmas it is, nonetheless, the "Queen's Speech". Although I take your point and perhaps it ought to be billed as "The Queen's Christmas Message", since it is supposed to be more friendly than a formal speech. However, having checked my RT, it is simply listed as "The Queen".
No, the whole Commonwealth suffers from the same fate....and I suspect it is probably taken up by US broadcasters too.
