There was a short (and a little frivolous) report on Breakfast yesterday morning about some of the 1m people who'll be working on Christmas Day. One of the people they featured is a playout editor at Red Bee, and they speak to him in the Broadcast Centre.

Look carefully, and you'll be able to see exactly what trails will be used up to the 1500 junction on BBC One tomorrow.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Yes on both counts. What you see there is the scheduling system, the playout system is much harder to read. Rolling Eyes

Would it be possible to get the file converted to a Windows Media Player file? As I'm currently using my mother's laptop and she doesn't want me downloading all sorts of programmes onto it!

Yes; the 'St' refers to subtitles. The other one is "Xmas News".

So things could go tits up with TOTP at this late stage?

Is this to do with the reveal of the Xmas No 1?

I wonder what the standby prog might be ?

I'll have to have a look! (I'll be taping anyway!)

Or more simply. Just change the .ram to .asx.

Let's fill in some of the gaps here; PG obviously means Programme, PT Programme Trail, ST Standby Tape/Transmission; what about SM?

The BBC ought to publish this info on the web. It would help viewers avoid junctions with a high level of promotion...
