I apologise if this has been mentioned anywhere else but Look East is being trailered on BBC Radio Suffolk as having a new look this coming Monday. It must be the big move to 'The Forum' at last.
From where I think the studio will be (on the 1st floor) it would be nice if the set could encompass the balcony, the floor below and the large glass frontage of 'the forum' with the view of the church beyond. But I doubt this would be, as previously said it will probably be a variation of the national set.
"Presenters will stand at a lectern for breakfast and late bulletins and for lunch, while Look East presenters will be sitting at two chairs behind a coffee table."
Blimey - VERY nice!! It reminds me of a Hi-Fi set - you've got the main hub of the operations in the centre and the 'wings' are the speakers on either side... that is SERIOUSLY impressive, top marks!!
Is the lectern going to light up from underneath, continuing the BBC's preference for seance tables? When I see the One, I always think Anna Ford's about to contact the dead!
Well if they are it does look rather pro-modern, and Katherine it does remind you of a Hi-fi for some reason, maybe the sides look like speakers.
Better than what could be said for Oxford Road.
That whole building, The Forum, is used for several purposes including BBCi Norfolk website, BBC Radio Norfolk, Look East and Norwich central library (the old one was devastated by a fire several years ago).
