Are the Sky News 'Week in Review' graphics the oldest @ the moment on British TV news? They've been around since 1997

The current ones actually haven't. If I remember correctly, they were basically the same but with a black background and a different font (possibly the current Sky News logo typeface)

The basis of the graphics, the sequence, music, colours is the same.

I think only the font used to list the stories has changed (or maybe not, I can't remember!)

They even still have the outline of the long-discarded Sky Egg!!!

And yes, the font is still from the Egg era.

Has the Week in Review been axed along with Sky's other programmes this weekend?

Week in Review has come back for this final weekend to fill The Bookshow's slots.

Shame really, although I want some of the awful 30 min shows to go, some of them such as the business programmes and the Your Call and Technofile types were excellent.
The GMTV DOG has been the same for ages.

Europe Direct, USA Direct, Simpson's World and Dateline London on News 24 are all more-or-less the same titles as the programmes were launched with when News 24 launched.

The name captions have changed, and Dateline may have been tweaked a little (originally it was 'Dateline London with Charles Wheeler' )

Initially Europe Direct and USA Direct were nightly... Now they are once a month I think.

Does Despatch Box use a corporate opening title?

Noggin, I think they've been around longer than N24... I'm fairly certain USA Direct was on air on World before N24 was born

Yep - but only just...

Both Europe Direct and USA Direct launched a week or two before News 24 launched as a fuly-fledged Network. They were the first productions to be broadcast (on World only) from the News 24 gallery (before it was called N9...) Initially they were done whilst News 24 was piloting I think. (Europe was certainly like this, not sure about USA Direct) It may have been that World did the odd USA Direct when News 24 were unable to.

USA Direct was initially done from both New York and Washington. When from Washington it was links only from the US with all VTs (or the bulk) played in from London. New York was more split as they had VT play in capability I think. Eventually it became all from New York - two parts from Broadway (Brian Barron mainly presenting) with the Business section (from Manhattan) in the middle.

Can this cover local news? If so, surely Border's Lookaround is the longest-running, I think their present titles have been around since 1991....
