Digital Spy is reporting that the overnight was 5.5m - pretty bloody fantastic for Channel 4.

Very high for Channel 4 and well deserved i thought. For me it worked well because it wasent a 'proper comedy' in my eyes so i was not expecting it to be laughs all the way through. If that had happend, it would have been way over the top and lost the objective of the programme. It certainly highlights the codes and conventions of reality tv shows which makes them what they are.

And much higher ratings than Peter Kay's other C4 series.

Such a shame there isn't a More Britain's Got the Pop Factor and possibly a new Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly on Ice Extra on E4.

Thankfully though Geraldine's fate was left open to the imagination, so definately room for a spoof follow up documentary next year. Hopefully.

Would be great to see more of Geraldine.

I hear "Geraldine" went on Chris Moyles's show on Radio 1 this morning to explain that Neil Fox revived her and she's recovering in hospital.

Glad it rated well, though a bit of a drop off for the second episode - it'll be interesting to see if the official figures close the gap.

How very tactical. Wink

Just think come christmas and the DVD's out and Geraldine could be in the running for the Christmas Number 1.

Simon Cowell's face would be priceless. Laughing

I wonder how many times he will repackage that over the next few years before coming out with new material?
