It's looking like there's going to be at least 3 different versions of Hallelujah in the Top 10.

Unfortunately not this one: My Lamb Bhuna

Even that's better then Peter Kay's song.

It's really not funny though.

Well, in my humble opinion, that Peter Kay programme was awful. Not to my taste one bit.

But I absolutely LOVE that Christmas song. Its not left my head since I heard it.

Its a Gary Barlow song, right?

It's a bit too catchy isn't it?

The Germans have a good word for that, Ohrwurm (translates literally as "ear worm")!

I like the song too; a humourous tribute to catchy Christmas tunes of yore, in the very same style. Plus it's for the NSPCC, I can't think of a better reason to buy it than that.

It's so silly, yet I love it.

However, the video being 4:3 is bugging me, particularly as I think the person uploaded a cap of the video I did from the Radio 1 website, but converted to wmv where 16:9 is something YouTube likes to ignore...

That's the uploader's fault.

What I mean is they probably downloaded the version I uploaded to Unofficial Mills, which is a WMV file, but with WMV's it's something in the metadata or similar which tells the player to stretch out a 4:3 video to 16:9. In past experience, YouTube has ignored that and just left it 4:3.

It's because the uploader encoded it in 16:9 squashed to 4:3, YouTube tends not to ignore 16:9 videos when correctly encoded.

Don't think it's been mentioned but ah well, no harm in a reminder! Laughing

Peter Kay's Britain's Got An Extra Pop Factor And Then Some 2+1
Friday 19th December: 9:00PM

A follow up to Britain's Got the Pop Factor... and is a retrospective companion piece. Presented by Ben Shepherd, this one-hour spoof programme features a countdown of the best performances from the series as voted by the 'viewers', and exclusive interviews with this year's winner Geraldine McQueen, as well the chance to hear her new Christmas single Once Upon a Christmas Song. There are more auditions, more music, plus a few surprises.

The Christmas season also includes Peter Kay: Raider of the Pop Charts , a two part documentary that reveals the story behind Peter Kay's numerous chart successes. It takes a unique look behind the scenes of all three of his iconic pop videos, featuring artists such as Texas and The Proclaimers, as well as his more recent hit with Geraldine's The Winner's Song and her soon-to-be-released Christmas single. There will also be another chance to see the full-length version of Britain's Got the Pop Factor... plus a video exclusive on Channel 4 of Geraldine's Christmas single.

That doesn't seem to be in the schedules at all.

Possibly going slightly off topic, but as I assumed Geraldine would be the obvious choice for C4's Alternative Christmas Message, I'm assuming nothing has been announced to either confirm or deny this.

I'm glad, because a two part show on a few novelty records? Now that's just silly.

"All three": Interesting that they don't count Amarillo as an iconic video?

That dig at Woolworths just now (out now at Woolworths, while shops last) was a bit insensitive I feel.

Peter Kay: Raider of the Pop Charts is mentioned on the Channel 4 website, but it doesn't say when it will be on:
