They were saved by five year old Rio this afternoon - anyone questioning the legacy should watch that interview.

So you expected him to be a clairvoyant?

I doubt he would have taken the job if he was.

At the end of the coverage yesterday Gabby promoted today's events, I almost thought she was going to mention how they were on Channel 4, but no, the coverage is available on Five Live. I thought with the Olympics/Paralympics they'd started acknowledging each other a bit.

I wouldn't mind, but there was more coverage on BBC London 94.9 who were live in the stadium with their own reporters than on 5 Live and Sports Extra due to F1 and cricket.

Also viewers don't seem to be lapping it up as much as I thought they might, with less than 4m watching the athletics last night on BBC1. There might be more interest in the World Championships where there is more at stake, but that remains to be seen.

Depends how many watched it on delay (which I did for Friday's and today's programmes, even though I watched yesterday live. It's not exactly been given a huge amount of promotion.

Also, the fact that the Olympic Stadium was pretty much full (especially today) is surely a good sign that there's loads of interest still.
