I'm sure you all know that The Estate will be the last programme on BBC1 analogue in London tonight. Having closed down BBC2 the other week, I'm not officially the voice of doom! Like last time, a reasonably subtle announcement around 00:10.

Not sure if the link has been updated since you posted Martin but...

Is the transmitter visible from the East of London, i.e on a central line location?

He's quite good at shutting things down I suppose

Something in my water tells me, we might see something a bit out of the ordinary on one of the other channels tonight Cool

It's going to be interesting following all this. My analogue TV was one of those that automatically tuned ITV to BBC One when tuning it.

"Other channels"? You mean ITV1 and/or C4?

You can see it from all over the place but I think anywhere on the Central Line might be a bit too far/low. If you go down to the Thames around the Isle of Dogs (Docklands) there's some good views at various points around there

He's good at wanting to shut things down.... lets hope a Twitter campaign doesn't stop him going through with it tonight Laughing

So my chances of seeing it from a E10/11/17 Postcode are not very high then?

I suppose it depends how high you are.... it will be quite small on the horizon from that far away though.

If you're that keen (and not that scared of South London!) just hop on the Overground and go down there
