I think it's really quite good. Fresh and modern. The candidate city one was dull as dishwater. Oh we'll use the Thames, but in the Olympic colours... how original! Nah, this is good, and the fact that every hates it is better.

Yeah but how does this represent London, it looks like a person getting a blow job! Laughing

sure going to attract a lot of slack though from a bunch of narrow-minded jerks.

Ah, this mean you're saving your scathing, predictable, used a million-times criticism of it for tomorrow then Nini?

It does look utter tosh, but then isn't everything in modern marketing? Personally I find it better just to sit back and leave the marketers to it. Razz

Yes, the brief to every marketing company:
"create me something everyone will hate"

That looks great Martin, apart from the diffculty international visitors will have with recognising the circumcised penis wrapped in a shiny condom shown in the first "2" Shocked

Otherwise 9/10!

London 2012? The London text is too small, and there is too much colour. IMO a simpler design would look far more proffessional, and would make the 2012 Olympics in London stand out far better.

It's an embarrassment to the world of design and the rest of the world. I think we need a more conservative look.

I agree that the chosen logo isn't conservative enough and the 'rough' interpretation of '2012' initially looked almost childish to me, maybe the fact I was looking at the pink version added to that, I'm not sure.

With regards to your contribution, it's much more in the style of what I was expecting, although I must admit I saw the arrow-esque union flag parts of that image and it reminded me of the Dad's Army opening titles - an odd thing for me to associate with it, but there you go! Laughing

I don't know for sure, but the IOC have very strict rules on the branding so I doubt any use of the Union Jack would be permitted.

Two branding consultants are arguing on the Jeremy Vine Show on Radio 2 now.

I've also been humming 'Who Do You Think You Are Kidding Mr Hitler?' since I saw them. Wink
