I'm strictly meh. It looks great in video, but on a white background it looks like crap. I'd say they should re-design it, but it might transform, like the site says.

As everyone else has said, that is awful - even more so after the brilliant bid logo.

There were so many creative possibilities - the LU roundel and the London Eye - perfect fodder for an Olympic ring tie in.

In fact you could even just use bribe the Doodle4Google winner from last year to do something in the design of the Olympic rings...

Nice one! Not too many mountains around London though for the downhill event....

The actual logo looks strange at the moment but I think it will grow on me.

I think it's really quite good. Fresh and modern. The candidate city one was dull as dishwater. Oh we'll use the Thames, but in the Olympic colours... how original! Nah, this is good, and the fact that every hates it is better.

Indeed, it does look great in the promo video, but awful as a still image. But both are a long way from what everyone expects as an olympic logo

I think the designers have got too carried away with the video version. Even in 2012 the image will be seem mainly as a 2D static image and it doesn't work in that format. I remember travelling through Atlanta airport about 5 or 6 years before their olympics and seeing all the 'Atlanta 1996' merchandise on sale. No-one is going to want a mug, T-shirt, cap or badge with that thing on it
