I have a feeling they work similarly to the Summer Paralympics, i.e. the broadcasting rights are sold by the organising committee of each games, rather than the IOC who sell the Olympic rights for a few years in bulk. I'd imagine it'll probably be decided at some point in the next year in terms of Sochi?

The Sochi Paralympics is under 18 months away so I'd have thought it would have been decided by now

Well I think Channel 4 got the 2012 rights in 2010.

It has been a great summer for sport and I hope it really does inspire people to get fit and healthy! I feel something is missing now I have no Olympics to watch...

Thought the BBC and Channel 4 covered them really well.

Not heard any word of it at all, not even the Russian rights. They could very well basically hand them to the EBU and then the BBC will have them, and I suspect it'll take the Winter games a couple more cycles to catch up with the summer Paralympics, but I do think now the IPC want to sell to broadcasters who want them rather than just bundle them in with the Olympics.
