The greatest moment had to be Kay Burley shrieking when the result was announced. Excellent atmosphere from Sky and really portrayed the tension.

Kay Burley was screaming with excitement.

Anyone recorded it?

The ITV NC coverage was excellent. I was going to listen to the bbc but Barry davies was presenting .

It was absolute class from Burley - you could tell she was practically wetting herself before the announcement and she just exploded when he opened the envelope. Barry Davies was almost crying on the BBC.

I made the daring decision to look at Fox just after the announcement, and was greeted with the words (and this is taken verbatim) ''I'm not happy really for London so much, I'm just glad that the French are unhappy... that makes me happy".

Brilliant - absolutely brilliant!


Now, I wonder what the odds are on Sir Steve Redgrave lighting the Olympic torch!


London won by 54 votes to 50 - and the PM says he couldn't watch it.


And if London getting the 2012 games wasn't good enough - the reaction of the crowd in Paris was the icing on the cake!
