I'm convinced that no member of the entire human race outside of TVF members (and even 99% of us !) has laid eyes upon any of these local stations for even a single nanosecond.

Every time that I notice this thread, I think "are they really still a thing?". Their continued existence never ceases to amaze me.

That's TV now has a deal with CBS Reality, and basically only air local content from 6-9pm now, that being a looped sub-standard "news" broadcast.

Don't think it was made clear at all when OFCOM consulted about a "national spine" on the That's TV network that the nation would be the USA.

I preferred the internet when it had a sense of humour.

My house mates have spent several minutes staring in disbelief at the output of Sheffield Live while flicking through the channels. The news is often good for a laugh for how poorly it's put together, the priority of stories and how uninformative you can actually make a news programme.

The fact that CBS reality is already on freeview makes it more of a joke. Simulcasting what's already viewable on another channel.

How we mocked Sheffield Live when it started, but actually even though it's just a stream of a radio station at least it is still primarily delivering local content.

Did Notts TV get bought out in the end - that was about the best once Mustard TV sold up. KMTV in Kent was a relatively latecomer and had a fairly solid schedule at launch - not sure it they've managed to sustain that.

Notts is still independent.

KMTV is also still going as a partnership between the University of Kent and Iliffe Media via their KM division.

They did their own GE election coverage overnight as well.

Yeah, totally pointless. Between that and the obvious failure to maintain their website (seriously, embedding a Twitter feed and then losing control of it is unbelievably idiotic), I think I'll go add another prediction to the 2020 speculation thread.... namely, that That's will not survive.

Still independent, but a poor shadow of what it was. Seems to be mostly repeats of programmes made during the first year or two of the channel. Even the Gem 106 simulcasts have gone, which at least provided several hours of new, live content every day. At least it's not reduced to simulcasts of other channels and public domain movies though.
