After North West Today at 1.45, there was a trailer for North Westminsiter. It had a look at some new opening titles. Finally BBC North West are getting rid of those old pre-corporate North West Tonight style titles. Does anyone know if any other local parlimentary programs are getting new looks?

South of Westminster seems to have a new name - Talk out South or something like that. Are we seeing a change from parliament programmes to local discussion shows? I mention this because of the changes that seem to be happening to Midlands at Westminster as well.

yep Midlands at Westminster has gone - replaced by Viewpoint Midlands from sunday.

Viewpoint Midland's website is up and running - though its a carbon copy of the existing M@W one with the new ident on it- they even forgot to edit out the mentions of Midlands at Westminster in the postal address page lol

On Sunday I will be capturing the titles to North Westminster and they will be on the forum hopefully in the evening. The ones on Sunday will have to be from a video. I will do live ones next Sunday to replace them.

By the looks of the sneak preview of the new North Westminster titles, it looks like they are very BBC World-ish, and the music I think sounds like the BBC News 24 Special Music.

It does have the BBC World News 'ovals' and is red and cream, so yes it looks very much like BBC World. However, the music is the a version of the normal political BBC News theme used for Westminster Live etc.

To introduce the first View Point Midlands, they used the butterfly-gets-eaten-by-venus-fly-trap BBC Two ident.

The ident looked very fuzzy and degraded (as does the Midlands Today title sequence these days).

My mum's now switched over to watch the Hallmark channel. But I'm recording VPM, so will have more details later.

I like the North of Westminster studio at Leeds, looks really easy on the eye.

Do they use the same studio for North of Westminster as they do for the Harry and Christa Show?
