I could get MATV Leicester if I wanted (it is available in my area apparently, although I don't live in Leicester!), but it is on freq 68, which conflicts with my Sky Digital RF.

Why dont you use the SCART lead for your SKY then? We use SCART for our NTL box- we dont even have the RF plugged in.

I do connect via SCART, but the portable needs RF, and frequency 68 seems to be the only one which won't either:

a) Show interference on Sky

or

b) Block out any other terrestrial channel

And hey, I think I can live without MATV!! Wink

It helps if you live there too, and preferably no further north than Widley.

Channel One is still going in Liverpool. News, sport and features 24 hours a day on cable.

Didn't ITV used to be the local channel? Wink

Living in Portsmouth myself (Cosham), I have been able to get TV12 from the Isle Of Whight for many years now (longest running RSL in the UK). I didn't expect it to be all-singing all dancing, and it certainly wasn't! However, IMHO they did quite a good job, for a channel that was local. Last year they were lucky enough to get carriage on IOWCTC, so once their licence expires next year, they'll be able to keep on going.

MyTV's launch was the most hyped-up shambles I've ever seen! MyTV simply rushed the channel's launch so much that it wasn't even making an attempt at being professional. Spit Head Review (now replaced my MyTV TODAY) had allsorts of sound/picture problems, and other programmes were like this too. MyTV is on UHF channel 30 IIRC, so unlike TV12, you can tune it in on a group A aerial.
