Why are loads of YTV presenters on Wellbeing?

Please help me! Is YTV having trouble keeping staff? Or is Wellbeing a Yorkshire Television channel?Very Happy

As I don't really watch Wellbeing that much, who is on there, I know Christine Talbot used to but is now doing Calendar, Karen Petch is there, who else ? Is Vicky Locklin doing Wellbeing ?

Perhaps the main reason is that it comes from YTV studios in Leeds.

So it does come from the YTV studios? I wondered about that!

I don't know who's on it (except for Vicky and Caroline) - I've only seen it once (on Sky Digital at my mate's house, as I have Telewest and they don't carry it on the package I pay for!)

Wellbeing is a Boots/Granada joint-venture and its TV programmes are made at YTV in Leeds. I think YTV must have a shortage of female presenters at the moment - so they're shuffling them between Calendar and Wellbeing a lot!

Is YTV part of Granada Media? That's why the channel's from Leeds!

Yes Yorkshire TV is part of the Granada Media Group along with Tyne Tees, Meridian, Anglia, LWT and err.... Granada.

Christine Talbot was apprantly pulled off Wellbeing to be the face of Calendar

Therefore other Calendar names such as Vicky Locklin and Karen Petch filled her slots on Wellbeing. (Vicky was on last Sunday when I looked talking about giving up smoking)

With Karen Petch on Wellbeing duty and Christa leaving, Calendar seems to be in a state lately, Nichola Crompton and Raj Shukla haven't been on for at least 2 weeks, Meanwhile 'Faye Barker' is a new presenter who presented from 6.30am-1.00pm this week.
With Frazer Maude getting a well earned break, another new name 'Clare White' has been presenting 6.05-11.30pm editions of Calendar this week,
Meanwhile 'Anne-Marie Tasker' did a couple of weekends but hasn't been seen for about 2 weeks!

Nicola Crompton has been doing Calendar East for the last 2 weeks as far as I'm aware.

Does anyone here on the TV Home Forum watch their ITV from the Belmont Transmitter?

It would useful, as Calendar East seems a hiding place for half the presenters.

Also, I don't think I've ever found the correct answer to this, Do East viewers (and South for that matter) get a separate 'Calendar Lunchtime News'. When it was on at 12.15pm, they used to opt-out, but now its at 12.45pm, its either all or nothing

When the lunchtime news was at 12.18, Belmont and Sheffield did opt-out for 3 minutes of their own news, before returning to the Emley output. I'm sure you must have noticed the very obvious opt-out point:)

Now though Belmont, Emley and Sheffield have their own self-contained bulletins within the ITV Lunchtime News. The graphic behind the presenter has East/South in the space next to Calendar, on the line above Luncthime News.

The closing sting though is certainly common to Emley and Belmont, and I guess Sheffield. It's the generic one that just forms up to say Calendar Lunchtime News. It may be that this is run by RCR1 (The Emley tree-house gallery), and the RCR2 and 3 join that feed so that all three services end ont the same thing. They used to end on a slide, but I'm sure I saw on Belmont it swithing to the Emley slide for a second before going back to ITN. Though we've all seen flash frames of inappropriate things before joining the network feed

Yeah, I'm on Belmont. They broadcast from, get this, a shopping centre! That's right, Prospect Shopping Centre in Hull houses the Calendar East facilities! It's 2 doors away from an Early Learning Centre, and next door to a bank! But at least you don't go far to buy a newspaper, the centre also has a WH Smith!

I also watch it from Belmont (i live in East Yorkshire) I don`t actually think the bullitins come from Hull though but from the main Leeds studio. Shame really
