It's nice to see that ITV are making more of an effort with blooper shows, as I'm growing tired of watching the same TVs Naughiest Blunders all the time...
However, I think replacing a presenter who's iconic to a show is a bit of a wrong move. Like replacing Macaulay Culkin in Home Alone 3, both would do good if they were under different names.
I think Merton is brilliant, so I'm looking forward to seeing what he does with this.
And although Norden is a very likeable man his links were often just an interruption to the good stuff. As he said himself, "Goodevening - and for those of you watching on video press fast-forward".
I'd like Merton to do for the show what Harry Hill did for YBF - to make the commentary and links almost as funny as the clips.
Have I Got News For You panellist Paul, 50, may well be hoping his new role will help wipe out memories of his last ITV show – the total turkey Thank God You're Here.
The total turkey eh... admittedly it didn't grab the viewers but I thought it had potential given the right mix of people.
Anyway, as for Paul hosting 'It'll be Alright' - at least it's not Jonathan Wilkes or Neil "Here's me teasing Clunesy" Morrissey.
glad to see it back and hopfully at a proper time with a mix of out takes
Not like naughtiest blunders which is always on at 11:30pm because all the clips are of somebody saying **** or an accidental shot of a naked human both of which will traumatise children who have never heared the word **** or seen a naked human before
as for Thank God you're here. Thank God it's not anymore
Big mistake, IMO. Denis
was
It'll Be Alright on the Night. Whether or not you were one of those people who liked his patter between the clips, he lent an air of grivatas to the proceedings, and don't forget too that he personally selected all the clips that went in to each episode as well as writing the links - even if some of them were as corny as a field full of corn. Can't quite see Paul Merton doing the same, somehow....
