Virgin's latest channel under the Living brand launched yesterday - 5th July 2010. Living Loves' schedule will consist mainly of recent programming from LIVINGtv.

I was surprised to see another Virgin channel being launched, given the recent news.

How much do we reckon they will change the existing programme line-up (if at all)? Is there a risk of them pushing the better performing titles to their p1$$ poor Sky 1?

{as an aside, is "p1$$" really such an offensive word?}

It used to be Living+2.

They killed +2 last week, messing up some of our V+ series link recordings handily scheduled on that channel to avoid clashes Sad

Wasn't news of a third Living channel announced well before the VM/Sky negotiations began?

Perhaps the development was so far advanced that it would be wasteful to cancel the channel at such a late stage.

LIVING+2 was only ever a placeholder, and quite a waste of EPG real estate, even if Neil DG was watching it!

Tsk.

It was worth it because I was recording stuff on timeshift from it.

And...

It's not like the real estate on Virgin can't cope with having a few extra channels there.

I believe a third Living channel was first mooted when Trouble was axed in March last year.

I think Trouble was replaced by Living2 +1, which is now LIVINGit.

Well I think Living2 + 1 replaced Trouble +1 then they closed Trouble down and invented Living+2.
