Just to say, the last one of these - which had the same title minus the live bit - included the death of Tommy Cooper, virtually right up to the death rattle. I don't think there's any justification for showing that on TV, and definitely not on a clip show alongside Owen Paul missing his cue on Pebble Mill.
Well we've got a recap of the show so far after every ad break, and every clip being described by about three talking heads repeating what each one has just said. Then you've got the so called comedian talking heads who I've never seen before, who think the show is all about them.
Well done that someone sourced the 'hey fellas' TTTP clip actually from the archives rather than from YouTube though.

I disagree, there would be justification on a tasteful programme (along the lines of the original Channel 4 100 Greatest TV Moments) but clips like that have no place on a programme that basically consists of Dom Joly giving his opinion of a preview tape he's received the day before.

Not only that, but the link to This Morning, and footage of the protestors still in the studio after the audience have left. Whoever sources these clips needs more work. Kudos to anybody in this role who doesn't just go for crap quality YouTube rips.
I'm helplessly drawn to shows like this, but I do have to scratch my head when they'll feature dangerous studio invasions alongside some Big Brother bellend splitting her dress.
I don't think the original Tyne Tees produced Top 100s have ever been bettered.
Well, they were credited to Tyne Tees, but could have been produced by any of the GMG stations! I think by that stage the name on the prod cap meant very little.
Some uncomfortable viewing to say the least. A falcon being killed by a lorry, a lion grabbing a toddler's leg in its mouth, and a TV presenter's hand impaled on a spike followed by prolonged gratuitous footage of her in a state of extreme pain to the point of passing out.
Plenty more where that came from on LiveLeak and BestGore if it's your cup of tea, but it's certainly taking things to a new level for this genre of talking heads show.

Yes the recent clip shows like this (they've done Bad TV of the 80's, 90's,00's too) that C5 have shown have been really good for getting unusual footage or showing more than normally is shown. They showed the studio link after the Anthea Turner incident on UP2U which I hadn't seen since it went out live for example.
The talking heads are a bit poor but normally the odd bookings are there because they turn up in a clip later on... or on another they were filming at the same time
