In my terms employed is having a job that pays a wage... (note I'm not decrying any mothers, fathers or anything like that).

That's as maybe, but she's still probably unavailable for a 5 day a week TV gig

Unlike she was available 5 days a week for an afternoon radio slot.

Surely being a baby factory is a job that pays a wage!

I suspect 'Live from Studio Five' will go down in TV history next to Eldorado, Tiswas OTT and Albion Market Shocked

All those shows you mentioned actually had an audience, that's why you remember them even if they became notorious and didn't last long. It's the viewer-less shows you don't remember that this will end up like.

I'd hazard a guess that most of the shows mentioned above got more than 200,000-300,000 audiences...

When you compare those figures to the 4ish million The One Show is getting at the moment, and even the 600,000ish Channel Four News gets, they're not exactly great...

I'm sure they all had audiences which were measured in the millions rather than thousands, but that was back in the day when there were only 4 TV channels....unless you happened to have one of the Goonhilly dishes at the bottom of your garden! Wink

I didn't realise the figures for Live from Studio Five had dropped to that level. Surely someone at FIVE must be re-thinking the strategy by now?

Lighten up Chie.

I'm fairly sure he was joking, David!

I'd have had an ear-bashing via email, facebook or MSN if he'd felt that strongly about my comment. Very Happy
