Whilst I appreciate that this is a presentation forum, I find it highly amusing that the title of the music used at the top and tail of the programme is found to be far more important than the discusion of the cricket in between.
Reminds me of the old Waldorf and Statler line on The Muppet Show, "They could improve this programme if they just changed the beginning and the end, put them closer together".
Please allow me some artistic licence - I'm from Scotland, and the theme tunes, in my opinion, are far better than what comes in between, I'm afraid. Those great Muppet arch-hecklers have, as usual, called it right...
So what theme tune did they use then? I was at a meeting at the time so missed the programme.
Don't know the name of it but it's a well known tune (at least I think it is!).
The theme tune for Cricket on Five is a single called "Shine" by Shannon Noll - who was runner-up in the first season of Australian Pop Idol. Not that well known over here.
Was nice to see some actual cricket in a highlights programme rather than the usual C4 montages and analysis! The theme tune was pretty bad, and the graphics unremarkable, but the actual programme was OK.
