First installment of it on Wednesday, wonder what it'll be like! Hope it keeps the distinctive C4 theme tune, seeing as its being made by S+V. I'm missing C4 cricket already, their coverage was fantastic.

I agree about Channel 4 cricket (despite the interruptions for the racing). It might be the only decent thing this corrupt Labour government would do, but if they put Home Test Matches back on the 'A' list of protected events, well, it will mean they are not complete tossers.
Still, at least Five have got Geoff Boycott and Simon 'The Analyst' Hughes as part of their coverage, along with Mark Nicholas back from Australia where he was part of the Nine Network commentary team for the Australian cricket summer and the Commonwealth Games.
Just won't be the same without Richie.. . Ah well, at least we should have Blowers (my dear old thing) on TMS, and Ian Botham on Sky Sports, so I suppose it's not all bad.
I thought that all live cricket hadbeen awarded to BSkyB?
Live from Lords is a preview show of the 1st Test and Cricket on Five will be a 45 minute highlight show called Cricket on five at 7:15pm every day of the test matches and ODIs.

They are keeping Mambo No. 5 as the theme tune AFAIK. In fact, apart from GFX and the absence of Richie Benaud, it'll probably be a mirror image of the C4 coverage.

I hope Mambo No 5 will be ringing out come tomorrow night for the preview show!!! That is such a great theme tune for the cricket. How do you know they are keeping this theme?
I posted my earlier comment after I saw the tune advertised as a download on O2 mobile - under the name 'Lou Bega - Mambo No5 (Channel 5 Cricket Theme)! Spoke too soon . . .
