From a TVF perspective it's a good thing the regional news wasn't on as it was set in Manchester but they wouldn't have got North West Tonight in that telly (not that it would have been I suppose as they would have timed it exactly)
It would have been pretty easy to arrange a vision feed from Salford to Maidstone if that had been needed.

Wonder if the bit from The One Show was specially recorded or was it from when they were guests and they somehow just made sure the correct thing was said?

They had matte-ed out whatever was in the plasma in the wideshot with a static One Show logo (which was presumably showing something they didn't want seen in their live show) - so I think it was taken from the broadcast of The One Show. If you'd shot it specially you'd have ensured either the plasma wasn't in shot or the content in it was appropriate.

Or just take it off DSat, surely?
Yes - though the former might actually be easier in some areas
Was it the same announcer who was on BBC Two last night? it did sound like her
It was indeed. You can imagine many productions just getting a voiceover actor in and using some generic elevator music, the fact they used the genuine announcer on shift and the actual BBC breakdown music shows the attention to detail of all involved and it really sold it as a genuine breakdown. I was taken in at first despite expecting them to do something like that since the live show was announced!
Considering how the likes of Digital Spy make a story out of three rogue tweets, I'm surprised they didn't pick up on this when you look at the massive reaction on Twitter.
Watched this on Iplayer a bit back after reading about it, I do wonder how many people actually switched off thinking the breakdown was real? It was quite convincing, but on the other hand it's the sort of thing I'd half expect from a show like this anyway. That part was quite well done... not so sure about the rest of the episode with the camera in the dressing room and the various strange clips though, it was as if they came up with the idea about having a fake breakdown then weren't really sure where else to go with it.
Don't know if it was posted already, but the BBC Studios logo on the end board at the end of the show was the pre-April version rather than the current BBC Reith version. But at least it had the right Albert logo (you still see so many with the long-since-retired Albert+ version ...)

Putting together a couple of tweets - which admittedly could be two plus two making five - it averaged 0.73million, but another source said that audience that started watching the episode was just over 1m. So a fair few probably!

It's been changed so frequently I'm not surprised they used the wrong one.
