I really enjoyed Madonna's set there, really got the crowd going. Throughout the day its been ok but they seem to have centred on rock and alternative acts. Would have been nice to have variety.
The PCD's dancing and singing blew me away, i know some curley haired freaky **** on here probably disagree, but i thought they were brilliant.
I'm not a big fan of all that shouting stuff, but the Foo Fighters were pretty good.
Energy used up by watching/travelling/performing in Live Earth for one day compared the possibilities of the majority of people taking steps to conserve energy, no matter how large or small, for the rest of their lives. Incomparable.
What a ridiculous statement. That to me is like saying, people should give up smoking but .. "Hey, lets have a National Smoking Day!" then promote the cause to prevent lung cancer.
Its not "gutless cynicism" - its looking at the facts, certainly from America's direction where they are guilty of being one of the biggest polluters on the planet anyway. They pollute far more than the UK, yet today we've all been sucked into their and Al Gore's campaign.
In my own opinion, yes I agree that climate change is a bad thing, but documentaries and promotion from Sir David Attenborough are a better method of getting the message across than us all having to contribute to the likes of worldwide energy guzzling concerts. Each country should stick to their own ways of saving the planet because each country accumalates a different carbon footprint. I don't need Al Gore telling me to save the planet thanks very much.
Nok uk.. This Tour de France in your sig. Causing me aggro on the roads tomorrow. I've got to change my route in my gas guzzler as those bloody cyclists refuse to ride single file. Also those lot arn't satisfied with their own cycle lanes, they got to have a whole stretch of roads closed off just for them.
Also America can always put on a better show than the UK.

I know, I'm avoiding taking my gas guzzler anywhere tomorrow. Still they may take notice of the "Cyclists Dismount" sign placed in one of the villages on route.
I wonder how Kate Silverton got in on the act as presenter on BBC ONE for the non UK segment of Live Earth? It seems a little odd.... could they have not found a music presenter to do it?
