How to Save Energy and the Planet for TV Forum Trolls

  1. Find your computer.
  2. Unplug your computer and the modem.
  3. Throw away your computer and modem.

Simple, really.

Live Earth seems quite pointless apart from the fact that it might fuse the National Grid for a few hours while someone goes down to B&Q to get a new fuse. Imagine the amount of energy that'll save...

Caught the end of the Genesis set, have they replaced Phil Collins with Phil Mitchell?

Am I right in saying that Razorlight's song included "It's been such a f*cked up year"? And just as I'm typing this, Rossy just apologised for the language, so I guess I was right.

There was a "f***" during one of Genesis's songs.

Typical rock stars - trying to get down with the cause by peppering their songs with profanities. Bob Geldof has a lot to answer for!

Oh, and it's nice to see Edith Bowman doing the backstage interviews - I was expecting here to be up in Kinross for BBC THREE's T in the Park coverage and we'd be forced with Ms Cotton and her initimable interviewing skills.

Or worse... could have been Tash K Wink

"we're not here to preach"

the voice of many of the stars performing.

So what's going on? Is this concert solar powered or what? Typical American idea isn't it!

Well, BBCi doing their bit for saving energy - on Freeview at least seems they're using a very generic BBCi overlay with just the red dot and the BBC logo (not even BBCi) with absolutely no Live Earth branding at all.

What's on the satellite version - have they got multiple feeds from other concerts?

Al Gore talking from Washington "I pledge..."

Oh GO AWAY you stupid American tit! Mad

This is the most biggest bullsh*te of the year so far. I'm not saying we all need to do something about climate change but this is something that has been happening for years. How much energy is being used by these concerts? Al Gore probably drives a huge gas guzzling jeep..jeeez.

Spare us all the gutless cynicism, please.

Energy used up by watching/travelling/performing in Live Earth for one day compared the possibilities of the majority of people taking steps to conserve energy, no matter how large or small, for the rest of their lives. Incomparable.

Ever heard of "speculate to accumulate". Rolling Eyes

I loved it on ITV News the other night when James Mates interviewed him and really got him with the question why he isn't running for the Presidency if he so cares about the issues.
