Sorry I was listening and not watching at the time.
I still think though the "continuity announcer" could have just said that as they faded out. It wouldn't have hurt them and is exactly what they used to do before they became shoddy!!

Lol, I can see Daily Mail readers reaching for the BBC Complaints line as we speak.
The BBC arn't governed by Ofcom anyway are they? so can get away with it even if it wasn't Live 8.

Oh great BBC-2.. just fade it half-way through the UB-40 set and DON'T TELL ANYONE IT CONTINUES ON BBC-1!!!!
Diabolical lack of presentation!

They could have waited till one set ended though.

Possibly 5 mins of trails to fill on BBC1 - or a filler programme perhaps? Or Ceefax and Music? No - just get on with it. Wimbledon was waiting to go onto BBC2, it had to come off!! Did you not notice the overlap on Channels? All done for a reason!

One things for certain ............

The London Concert is overrunning spectacularly - I don't think it's going to be over by Midnight at the rate it's (NOT) going.

I read in the paper yesterday that "if a band overruns their slot their amps will be turned off and they will be revolved away from the audience".

Obviously this hasn't happened - not to my knowledge anyway. I wonder - was the Bob Geldof thing actually planned? Or did he just ad-lib?

i think all the bands have kept to their slots; it's the extended spaces in between have been the culprit for the gig to lag behind schedule.
