I don't know why they just can't keep everything on one channel - and at least the RIGHT channel that has been advertised in the TV listings! I bet it's got something to do with the "R" word!

I suppose they'll get calls from irate viewers who've been out today and video'd this only to find half of the tennis on their video instead of the full concert! and not updating the EPG listings as well... they've really screwed up on this I think!

Is that Mark Byford, BBC Deputy Director General I spy behind Davina there?

He was visible in the first hit with Jo Whiley at the beginning of the coverage!

A slightly drunk Robbie Wiliams there - he was going off-topic slightly... Smile Jonathan Ross commenting that Live 8 is to "make poverty history" and "get Robbie laid".

Oh great BBC-2.. just fade it half-way through the UB-40 set and DON'T TELL ANYONE IT CONTINUES ON BBC-1!!!!
Diabolical lack of presentation!

BBC2 quite clearly had two on screen captions pointing viewers over to BBC1. (And how amiss of UB40 not to welcome viewers to BBC1 and say goodbye to BBC2!) It's a live concert, do you think they'll pause to opt BBC1 in! Rolling Eyes

Snoop Dogg saying motherfu(king twice then - i cant imagine thats the only cursing from him!

I don't think people would really care today as they understand the message of these gigs - the BBC certainly don't. Calling in to complain of swearing from an international artist at the biggest concert(s) ever would be taking the pi55 a little bit.

They could have waited till one set ended though.

Forgot to mention, but re: Ricky Gervais. Richard Curtis wasn't too happy with him when interviewed on Radio 2.

I bet you after the set by Snoop Dogg, the phone lines will be red hot.

Without wishing to sound prudish, the amount of swearwords and offensive phrases being said is definately not suitable for a family audience!

...and now the unedited version of 'Signs', so this was amount of swearing was established, both by the Beeb and Live 8.

Can't disagree - but on occassions like this I personally don't think it's the issue.

The people who'd complain are those who'll phone in straight away as soon as someone swears - but would probably quite happily sit through the whole concert without registering their support on the Live 8 List.

That's what I was thinking. Justin's part (recorded obviously) even has swearing in it. I'm not offended, but I bet a lot of people are!
