Been impressed by the coverage so far - but if I hear Fearne say "amazing" one more time...

However, I wasn't impressed when they cut out of REM before they went into "Man on the Moon" to an interview with Johnny from Razorlight.

Here comes Mariah, at least an hour and 15 minutes behind schedule.

Yep - I think the razorlight thing was a mistake - but once they went to Fearne it would probably have looked even worse to have bailed out again.

On the other hand - remember how mad she was a year or so ago? I think she's come a long way - she didn't get nasty and she admitted she'd changed her mind. She is an American after all...

( I don't think you heard Annie Lennox, U2 or Dido ask for much though...)

I'm still amazed at the consistency of the performance and the very decent sound balancing job, as well as cameras.

I'm sure that many of the camera crew have been on-stage pretty much consistently for 8 hours now.... They must be completely shattered. (Cameras are not light things...)

Hi,

With all the events around the world, are all the feeds from that country being sent to London which then the BBC broadcasts to us? Also, is the actual Live 8 coverage seperate to the bits when they cut to Jonathan Ross, or the same?

Thank you

I would guess the same, isn't the London concert produced by the BBC?

I have noticed very swift cuts to cameras (like you see a picture for a split second) so I guess there are seperate feeds.

How dare they interupt Peter Kay for bloody George Michael, I was enjoying that. Sad
