Off topic I know, but is the Lottery not being televised tonight ?

I don't mind the swearing either but regardless of whether us lot, who I assume are mostly young adults, find it insulting and regardless of the message of the concert, I'm sure you all agree it isn't necessary and isn't appropriate for Saturday evenings on BBC1.

Sorry to keep going on about the crowd, i know it's not the point of what today is about but...where the hell did they get them from? Rolling Eyes it's the most un-enthusiastic concert audience i've ever seen. Madonnas managed to get a slightly better reaction from them, but it's still not the sound 200,000 people should be making. Millions of people wanted those tickets, and those ***** look as if they really don't want to be there. Rolling Eyes

Jonathan Ross has changed his outfit!

Anyone taking bets on when it will end, based on the timings here http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/music/4641889.stm. I'd say about 11.30pm. Good job the news was moved over to BBC2!

Bit of a cock-up earlier on the interactive streams. The feed of the philadelphia concert comes complete with commercial breaks and the beeb showed about five minutes worth of ads before pulling the feed with a caption.

Well, Madonna was due on at 1841, so we're not to far behind!

They also had an AOL dog.

Who is broadcasting this in the US - can't seem to find much out about it?

Oh dear! It seems that the Interactive on Sky doesn't seem to be going too well at the moment! I'm not getting any audio at all on the Pic'n'Mix stream.

AOL are webcasting the concert streams, with MTV/VH1 turning around individual songs apparently.

ABC are showing stuff later in the evening in the US.

Sad that no network is showing it as an "Event" in the same way the BBC is. The BBC Two, BBC One, BBC Three and BBCi multiscreen stuff has been a real commitment to the event - and really good TV. (Another benefit of non-profit driven broadcasting IMHO)

US broadcasting/netcasting is by AOL with some parts being shown on MTV
