I might be alone, but the show just doesn't make me laugh this series.
The returning characters are at best predictable, or so squewed outwith their own reality as to be, frankly, ludicrous.
Given that the new characters rely almost entirely on recurring gags, I find even them to be a bit thin for 6 episodes each.
I'd like to see the pair of them do something else - they are undoubtably talented and funny guys.

I do agree with you, Mr. Scott, but fans like myself wouldn't really be happy to know that it was axed because they can't think of anything else. They have only shown two, maybe they are saving the best 'till last.
However, I'd love to see Shooting Stars return and see Matt as George Dawes.

The only thing they have lost is Linda and Daffyd.
The Daffyd sketches are no longer as funny and I can't really pick out the reasons why, as it is hard to.
The Linda ones (for those who can't remember, the woman who goes on the phone to Martin and descibes a person who needs help with some work - then calls the person something offensive or cruel) these aren't really funny anymore. I think they use too many "offensive" comments before she goes "That's right..." so it loses it a bit.
Lou and Andy have definately not lost it at all. Last nights was one of the best. What I would've done, though, is when the car appeared, Andy says "four wheels" or something to describe a car.
Vicky Pollard is just trying to hang on. You can tell that she is just about to lose it but you still get a titter out of her sketches.
Anne is becoming more predictable but you can still have a laugh at what she does.
I'm still waiting for Orville, as I want to see if it's just as good as pi*s-taking Denis Waterman.

I wonder if 'Orville' has had to be cut from the series? It's slightly surpising that 2 episodes in this new character hasn't appeared. Prehaps 'Judy and Maggie' scene added in replacement, assuming it had been confirmed these two characters weren't being used for series 3.
