Series 2 started off strongly but tired soo quickly. By the end even the iconic regulars (Vicky, Dafydd, Lou&Andy) were boring. However there seems to be a fair few new charcters this series that will hopefully give it a freshen up. I think the show has already jumped the shark though -and deep down the rest of the country does too...but no one seems to want to admit though that series 2 was actually crap!. Rolling Eyes

I've always said Series 2 was crap too - it became the Emperer's New Clothes of shows last year. There were some funny bits, but it's the first series I've kept to watch again one day (when they've stopped filling the BBC3 schedule with it). The new series sounds promising, but if it is to be "sicker" then I'm not so sure.

It would be better if the character voices did it:

"This is BBC One"
"Yeh I Know... don't like it"

"This is BBC One - The channel for lllaaadies"

"So they want me to do a voiceover on BBC One? Write the theme tune, sing the theme tune?"

"Anne. Anne? It's BBC One!"
"Eh Eh Ehh"

Ah, I could picture it now.

I think that Idea has been done on the Series 2 DVD, as you have Dave Walliams as Lou reading out the BBC DVD Warning thing, then cutting to Andy watching the TV with the BBC ident playing. Plus Walliams also does another character on the Warning. It would still be good anyway if that happened.

But I'm looking foward to Tom Baker's announcements.

Maybe six as they made six last time, but they have new characters and the show has become extremely popular. So it could be eight.
