Little Britain is to return this autumn as part of bbc1's autumn schedule. I'm not sure whether this means bbc3 will broadcast episodes beforehand but here's the article ( free registration required):
Yes, I spent far too long yesterday trying to navigate around the BBC's promotional pdf. I bloody hate pdfs. Anyway, the documentary about numbers looks quite good. Not so thrilled about Robert Winston's history of god though... when's Jonathan Miller's series on atheism going to to get an airing on proper telly?

That would be bad for bbc3. Don't they have a certain quota for original programming :
They probably do, I don't whether it is a good thing or a bad thing, as LB got it's big break on BBC2 then BBC1, rather than BBC3. But also that most of the good stuff on BBC3 (and from time to time BBC4) is usually shown on BBC2 or BBC1 at some point or another.
But also note that when the BBC report was published yesterday, they were on some shows spending more per hour than BBC2.
It's BBC Three's job to discover new talent and produce new programming. Little Britain is no longer new and so it's now entirely a BBC One thing....as someone has said Three have strict quotas on non-BBC Three repeats and so although they may repeat the BBC One episode later in the week, I don't see them repeating them again (unlike Series 1 and 2).
