OMG, I'm just about old enough to be some people's mothers (except that when I was that age, girls my age didn't do that sort of thing...). Anyway, I thought Asa was about 23/4, but I may be wrong.

I guess I must be one of the oldest people on here, though I'm not as old as Andrew Wood yet... In fact, I doubt I'll ever be as old as Andrew Wood...

Good grief no, I'm 25!!! How many people here can actually remember when the 2 idents were first introduced in 1991? I well remember watching that very first ident, Paint - in utter horror!

I can! I can also remember in I think it was 1992, they did a Paint ident with red paint instead of green!

Being 19, my earliest memories of presentation are, BBC 'TWO' Ident (but not the BBC1 COW for some reason), ITV Generic idents, BBC Breakfast News titles, CH4 ITV Schools etc, In fact about 1991 (when I was 9) seems to be the cut off point!

I can only go back as far as 1991 as well!

I can go as far back as 1991 mainly, but sometimes 1989 at a push. I can remember the COW and TWO clearly. I can also remember the ITV Schools (channel 4) clock. I can remember the channel 4 blocks, but strangly not the original music, but the 1992-1996 mess. I can also remember the 1991 re-edit of the YTV generic ident (but not the 1989 version). I also, regretabally cant remember ever seeing ETP1, or the pre-1991 version of TCF, authough I want to see them.

I'm going to sound really old then - I go back as far as about 1981 with the blue and yellow mirror globe on BBC1 and the orange stripey BBC2! Now those were the days...

I can offer 26 ...

And I know 'ihatehtvwesttoo' will beat that by a long shot Smile

Well done Asa, by the way, for your national TV debut ...

Good to see a great site getting recognition on the small screen!

Now, all I have to do is find an excuse to feature it on my small corner of BBCi Smile

The mirrored globe... now those were the days!

I remember when the word TWO replaced the double-stripe thing, and thinking it was quite good (I still like it actually!) and that BBC1 clock where the hour indicators got thicker as you went round, and the stripy '2', and those dots that disappeared on the schools countdown clock, and the invasion of the Falklands, and mint Pacers (which were disgusting) and the children's show on Radio 1...

And I could have so easily recommended someone else but felt the nation should see Asa ... and ofcourse he got to look around the Liquid set!
Strange that he's been so quiet about his performance!!
