Linda Barker - THREE shows on ITV?

Gavin is right, it's her turn now, people have already complained of Carol Vorderman / Davina McCall overkill. At least it's a different face, until we get sick of it.


The reason we have Geri idents is cos she was on Popstars the Rivals - she as great on that and I love her idents!

But she hasn't appeared on the channel in the last 8 months, in fact for all of this year. She is not an ITV face.

Peter Davidson has at least done 2 ITV drama series though, that detective one, and the Braithwaites, and he does have a new ITV series in the autumn. So could be classed as an ITV face. I can't say the same for Kiera Knightley.

Well personally I haven't seen the Keira Knightly or Geri Halliwell idents for quite a few weeks

I saw the Geri one last night - she was with Pete Waterman who is currently on ITV so maybe thats why they keep it to save making another one of Pete.

I think they should get Geri back on ITV1 asap as she is great!

There is one with Pete Waterman on his own, which has been shown today

Well, at least we in the Midlands seem to have stopped getting Martin bloody Kemp grinning at us at six o'clock every evening, which can only be a good thing.

I seem to see less and less of the celeb idents now, interestingly. Shame they're bringing in a new set in the autumn though. Would have thought the time was ripe to do away with them altogether. I bet Linda Barker will end up in one of the new ones...

I hope there's one of Nicholas Owen though, pointing at the camera, or possibly throwing his arms out wide and announcing that he's back tomorrow at the same time, like he did this lunchtime.

Incidentally, why are Carlton Central viewers not getting Martin Kemp smiling at them anymore with the Carlton logo beneath it?? I thought Carlton were keen on promoting their logo and brand..so why have they stopped using it at 6.00pm???

It'd be good if the new regional ITV idents if there are any, just have the company's name and logo on the left and an ITV celebrity on the right...just like what Channel TV do right now...and also, if we see them more during peak time...just like Channel!!!

Channel are a good television station you know...I salute them.

erm, who cares *why* we're not getting kemp (or the name of the local london itv station) at 6.00, just be glad that we're not. i much prefer the generic clouds and generic dark we have been getting lately - even if it's got that awful massive itv1 logo on.

I dont know how popular Linda will be on the channel. Only time will tell.

As for Geri Halliwell idents, so what if she has not been on ITV1 for ages. Shes still a famous face, everytime she is on people think, 'Oh, her....popstars...etc'. Geris idents are good too. Better than others who just look at you.

At the end of the day, Geri halliwell idents or Women in red dancing........its easy to see which ones I prefer!

Women in red dancing are FAR more appealing than Geri as far as I can see. Just as the programmes that follow them are FAR more appealing than the programmes that follow Geri.

And to be quite honest, with the state that ITV is in at the moment Linda Barker can only give welcome relief from the constant ad breaks in my opinion.
