Credit to 'ljones' on the PP...

1) Tune to BBCi on 105
2) When BBCi background appears press Yellow, within 30 seconds
3) Tune to another channel
4) Go back to 105
5) When BBCi background appears press Green, within 30 seconds
6) The word secret should appear on the top right and then the Status page should appear.
7) Enter 3, 3, 5, 8, 2, Red, Green, Yellow, Blue
8 ) Wait between 30 seconds and a couple of minutes and TCW should appear

this does work on IDTV's aswell, give it a shot, it only works on newer STB's apparently.

I was on private parts earlier, read it, gave it a go myself and it works.

Shame the bitrate is so bad, it looks like its made of lego on my TV, heh
If you want a higher quality version of this, you can grab it from

I was more interested in the screen before, you had to enter the numbers. I wonder what " Press V to force nation selection" is meant to do?

I tried it and it brought up a message saying it would default my BBCi services to whichever region I clicked, I guess its useful if you live in an area where your news is better served from a different region.

Apparently it's just Freeview Jugalug.

This sounds useful. I've been tinkering with the screen settings for my TV, and happened to be up early when the testcard was shown on analogue last week to use that. It's much easier to try to get the screen right with a testcard than any other image.

How many people have a de-interlaced image as opposed to the full thing? The quality isn't too good anyway, due to mpg compression, but you should notice that the chalk lines on the blackboard are quite pixelated.

Is this being sent as an MPEG video stream??

Would have thought it far more likely to be a JPEG still? If so the artefacts are JPEG not MPEG?
