NI did anyway, with scary-sounding network announcer...

I think all the nations took it. I was too busy flicking between to listen properly, so the usual download would be lovely please. Rolling Eyes

No BBC1 Scotland or Wales though - just BBC1 Colour. Very Happy

Wales made their own - using the actual mechanical model and an actual 1973 announcer!

I was quite suprised to see the BBC 1 globe at the start of the episode, nice touch.

Hope they make it to the DVD, even if only for the first episode

Right after the last trail (before the ident) there was a moment of 'interference' in which a few fleeting bits appeared, and then the BBC 1 Colour Globe ident.

Oh, and great first episode as well, but then I expected no less.

Unfortunately the second episode on BBC 4 didn't have the old ident but then again hopefully this is due to the fact it's on BBC 4 not BBC 1

Any chance of a video capture of the globe please? I missed the intro to the first episode, and they didn't use it on the second on BBC Four, just used the standard BBC Four ident into the titles.

Here's how we saw the intro in Wales.

Thanks for that. It looks to me like the production company produced the intro, possibly? It sounds aggressive, matching the tone of the programme, rather than a real 70s BBC announcer.

They should've got Malcolm Eynon to do it...

I take it that it was computer generated? It didn't look like the real mechanical globe.
